"Students of the Month"
December 2001

 

Students from third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms were honored as Students of the Month for their efforts during "Caring and Sharing" month.
Kindergarten, first and second grade classes recognized students in their classrooms.

Tuesday, January 8
A New Face

 

Following the winter vacation , Ms. Leslie Javarone joined Tesago's staff as a fourth grade teacher.


Friday, January 11
Ski Club

 

Tesago's ski club, directed by Miss Jones, prepared for their first Friday afternoon trip to West Mountain. Chaperones assist experienced skiers and lessons are included for the novices.

Monday, January 14
Dan Butterworth's Marionettes

 

A PTA "Arts In Education" program permitted the students to experience the world of puppetry during a presentation by
Dan Butterworth & his Marionettes.


Tuesday, January 15
Honorees

 

At Monday evening's PTA meeting, Honorary Life Memberships were awarded to Regina Maley, Cindy Sokol, Cate Benardo and Mary Post for their exemplary service to Tesago.

Wednesday, January 16
A Special Visit

 

After reading the story "Up Goes the Skyscraper", Miss Shea's third graders had a visit from Mr. Bridges, a civil engineer (and Rachel's dad!). He showed the children how buildings are designed.

Orchestra Performance

 

The Tesago-Skano orchestra presented a concert for students. The students performed a variety of music.

Friday, January 18
Limo Ride

 

These students were treated to a limo ride to Pizza Hut for lunch in recognition of their participation in the PTA's fall fundraising effort.

Plant Growth & Development

 

Mr. Huggins' third graders have been observing their new seedlings on Day 13.

New Look in the Lobby

 

Waiting for a late bus isn't fun, but the redecorated school lobby makes it more relaxing. These girls were ready to order cookies and milk.
