Battle of Saratoga and the conditions the
soldiers endured.

Countdown
10:45 AM
The bread and rolls are stacked, food
covered and ready, ovens done with round
one and working on round two. These
cafeteria serving lines are about to have
nearly 600 students pass through over the
next two hours!

Pysanky Eggs
Nicholas's mom visited Mrs. O'Brien's
second grade and demonstrated the ancient
art of decorating Pysanky eggs for the
Easter season.

to kindergartners and then read story
books to their younger
friends.

Community Meeting
The multiage classes begin each day
with a community meeting. These children
are leading the group in singing a new

"Students of the Month"
March 2002
Students from third, fourth and fifth
grade classrooms were honored as "Students
of the Month" for their efforts during
Belonging Month.
Kindergarten, first and second grade
classes recognized students in their
classrooms.

Wednesday, April 3
Culture Club
Miss Hughes' second graders and Miss
Holland's fourth graders held a special
meeting of their "Culture Club". After
learning about African peoples and
cultures, they invited mother and daughter
guests who have lived in Africa to share
their experiences. The afternoon was
concluded with a sampling of some African
foods.

Colonial Day
Fourth graders participated in their
annual "Colonial Day" program. They dipped
candles, hammered tinpunch ornaments
and..... practiced their
penmanship!
