Learning About Ramadan
A Tesago parent visited third graders and discussed
the upcoming observance of Ramadan. He explained
the importance of this period to Muslims in our
community and throughout the world.

Tuesday, Novembe 13
Tesago Night at McDonalds
Tesago teachers and staff manned the counters,
flipped burgers and made milkshakes at McDonald's.
This fundraising activity, in cooperation with our
local McDonalds, provides monies for many school
activities.

Thursday November 15
Fifth Grade Testing
Statewide testing of fifth graders in Social Studies
took place on Wednesday and Thursday.

Simple Machines
Fourth graders learned about and constructed simple
machines in their science class. They learned about
energy transfer by making "magic rolling cans".

Monday, November 19
Words For the Day
Learning about new words for their "Word Wall"
is a regular part of morning's work in Mrs. Rosmarin's
first grade. These boys have their pencils sharpened
and clipboards ready.

Wednesday November 21
Native American Activities
Fourth graders spent the week working on Iroquois
crafts, making cornbread and tasting venison. These
children are standing in front of the Iroquois long
house built several years ago by native American
craftsmen

Monday, November 26
The Lived Along the Mohawk
Miss Hughes' second graders learned about the Native
Americans who lived here in our region. The Scotia-Glenville
Traveling Museum presented a program that involved
many artifacts.

Friday, November 30
Holiday Craft Fair
The PTA's annual Holiday Craft Fair brought crafters
to school and an opportunity for the children to
do some shopping for holiday gifts.

Dressed for the Theater
A field trip to a theater performance requires
"dressing for the show". Mrs. Rosmarin's first graders
are well prepared.
