A Picture Is Worth...
After studying aspects of the
Civil War through the photographs of Matthew Brady,
Mrs. Coryer's fifth graders chose photo opportunities
or posed classmates for photos that would tell a story.
In computer lab, they developed different effects to
enhance their photo message before writing a brief description
and self-evaluation.

Snow, Snow, Snow!
Since the snow never seems to melt
on its own, the custodial staff has been shoveling the
TOP of the busport! Planning for the spring thaw to come
assures that the ice and snow, when it does come down,
will not injure students.

Lancets and Leeches
Jeff Bennett presented a program
for fourth graders about Colonial medical practices,
including the use of leeches!

Friday, March
14
Poets' Cafe
Miss Hughes' second graders celebrated
at the conclusion of their unit of study on poetry. The
students each shared two poems that they had created.
They turned their room into a coffee shop for family guests
and refreshments were served by second grade waiters and
waitresses!

St. Patrick's Day
The third grade "Lilting
Leprechauns" sang some St. Patrick's Day songs
for their schoolmates during the lunch period.

Brian Chevalier and friends performed
original musical compositions that tell the stories of
our local Adirondack history.
