PTA Reflections Program

 

Over forty Tesago students were honored for their participation in this year's PTA Reflections program, The children submitted writing and art that expressed
the 2002-2003 theme "Signs of Courage."

Honoring Our Volunteers

 

Faculty and staff honored the many parent and community volunteers who contribute their time and provide valuable assistance for the children.

Habitats

 

Kindergartners are creating books about the many habitats, from desert to rain forest, about which they've learned.

Friday, May 16
Danceathon For Cystic Fibrosis

 

KIDS Inc., an after school service club, held a Friday afternoon danceathon to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Having fun while serving others is an important club goal.

 


Monday, May 19
An Ice Cream Party

 

Mrs. Fantauzzi's first graders had an ice cream party catered by McDonald's to celebrate the participation of the children and their families at the spring "Tesago Night at McDonald's" fundraising event in April.

Tuesday, May 20
Garden Club

 

A new garden is being created between the primary and intermediate classroom wings of Tesago. Under the direction of Mr. Mickle, children are tilling the soil and preparing for planting.

Testing

 

Third and fifth graders are taking standardized tests this week.

Mobile Lab

 

This student is combining comfort and mobility with the wireless laptops used when computer lab rolls into his classroom.

Holes

 

Mrs. Coryer's class has been reading Holes, the Louis Sachar book recently released as a Disney movie.

A nutritious breakfast at school is available every day.

Butterflies

 

After observing and studying the life cycle of the Painted Lady butterfly, Mrs. O'Brien's second graders released their adult butterflies on the playground.
