Battle of Saratoga

 

Fourth graders recently were presented a program about the 1777 Battle of Saratoga, the first major victory by the colonists during the Revolutionary War.

Wednesday, June 4
Concentration

 

First graders are showing how hard they've worked all year. This class is writing about the science experiment they performed.

Field Days

 

Field Day activities for various grades have been squeezed in between the raindrops over the past week. An emphasis on non-competative games created a fun and healthy time with friends and schoolmates.

Sneakers

 

The Student Council has been involved in a program which recycles used sneakers into ground up material used in athletic fields.

Immigrants

 

These fourth graders struggled over the difference in the meanings of the words "immigrate" and "emigrate" as they studied a document.

Kindergarten Celebrations

 

Graduation and alphabet ceremonies allowed the kindergartners to share what they've learned with family and guests.

The Story of New York State

 

Ms. Javarone's class presented "The Story of New York State", an original program which told our state's history through music, song and dance.

Understanding Stories

 

Our youngest students are learning about the different elements that are needed to create a story. Here, they have mapped the main characters of the story "Gooseberry Park".

Students of the Month
May 2003
 

Students from third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms were honored at the monthly B.E.S.T. assembly as "Students of the Month" for their efforts during Citizenship Month.
Kindergarten, first and second grade classes recognized students in their classrooms.

 

 


Thursday, June 19
Tae Kwon Do

 

A demonstration by an area Tae Kwon Do instructor showed how attention, focus and concentration could allow this child to break a board on his first attempt. (Teachers are planning to replace the board with spelling tests :)

Friday, June 20
Parachute

 

Miss Morse's multiage students practiced teamwork as they listened carefully to directions and made their parachute obey their commands!

 


Monday, June 23
Fifth Grade Luau

 

Fifth graders held a traditional luau to celebrate their years in Tesago and their upcoming move to a new challenge in life.... Middle School.

Last Day of School

Faculty and staff gathered to wave goodbye on the last day of the 2002-2003 school year.
