Students from third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms were honored at the B.E.S.T. assembly held earlier this month as "Students of the Month" for their efforts during Caring & Sharing Month.

Read and Succeed

Magician Mike Carnevale presented a program that emphasised the "magic" of reading! Through an interactive program involving magic, the message: "You can find the answer in a book!" was reinforced.

January is "Goal Setting" month and goals are being set by Kindergartners through fifth graders. Choosing realistic goals that can be met with success is important.

Helping a first grader with his reading reaches back to the roots of all teachers. Susan Swartz, Shenendehowa's Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and Kathleen Powers, Tesago's principal, offer encouragement and a keen ear to one of our students.

Ski Club

Even though the children had only a half-day of school due to teacher meetings in the afternoon, the lure of the mountain brought ski club members and their chaperones back at 2:15 PM to catch their bus to West Mountain.
