Tuesday, January 4 Student of the Week Many classrooms celebrate the lives and experiences of students through "Student of the Week" activities. Michael has done quite a bit in his short life!

Wednesday, January 5 "Students of the Month" December 2004   Students from third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms were honored at the B.E.S.T. assembly held earlier this month as "Students of the Month" for their efforts during Caring & Sharing Month. Kindergarten, first and second grade classes recognized students in their classrooms.

Friday, January 7 Read and Succeed Magician Mike Carnevale presented a program that emphasised the "magic" of reading! Through an interactive program involving magic, the message: "You can find the answer in a book!" was reinforced.

Monday, January 10 Setting Goals January is "Goal Setting" month and goals are being set by Kindergartners through fifth graders. Choosing realistic goals that can be met with success is important.

Susan Swartz, Shenendehowa's Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction and Kathleen Powers, Tesago's principal, offer encouragement and a keen ear to one of our students.

Friday, January 28 Ski Club Even though the children had only a half-day of school due to teacher meetings in the afternoon, the lure of the mountain brought ski club members and their chaperones back at 2:15 PM to catch their bus to West Mountain.
