Helping Furry Friends
Food drives always result in hundreds of pounds of food donated to our local Joneville Food Pantry. Several classes are donating to a special "Thanksgiving Pet Food Drive" organized by the Animal Protective Foundation in Scotia.

Farmers' Museum
Fourth grades recently took a trip back in time to the Colonial life experienced at the Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown.

This month's B.E.S.T. assembly was so colorful that Mr. Bird climbed to a new height to take a photo of the entire school population.

A Visit From A Storysinger
Storysinger Chris Holder presented a program titled "Waterway Wanderer", which included stories and songs from the whaling ships to the early days of the Erie Canal.

Exercise and Nutrition
Dr. Martin J. Abrahamson, acting chief of Medicine at the Harvard affiliated Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, spoke to fourth and fifth graders about the importance of exercise and nutrtion in their lives.

Serving our Country
Earlier this month, fourth graders were shown some of the equipment our soldiers are using in the mideast. National Guard member Tiffany Streit was a student in Tesago and Gary Machina is a dad of a Tesago student.
