Actions:

1.      Announcements

-         Kathy will send a memo to each grade level, asking a rep to attend a Partnership meeting - reps will share how things are going with the PLC process.

-         Kathy has met with 4 grade levels thus far, and team member discussion of grade level goals seems to be going smoothly.

2.      Pre-Coaching

-         Our personality traits were revealed by which shapes we most identified with.

3.      Club Units

-         Tesago currently has money for 13 club units, but with additional club offerings, we would like to use 17 units.  The Partnership team voted to use Tesago’s carry-over money to fund the additional units.

-         An after school bus program will be piloted by Tesago this year, in Oct., Nov., Jan., Feb., and March.  The bus will run on Mon., Wed., and Thurs.  This program will enable more students to participate in clubs, and teachers will also be able to provide extra help to students after school.

4.      Plan for Communicating with Parents

-         We would like to share Partnership Team activities with the PTA.  Using Power

Point, Paul will provide information on Professional Learning Communities.  Wendy will give an overview of TPT’s function and issues we discuss. This year we will also complete an informational brochure for parents.  We will further communicate our activities by posting our minutes on Tesago’s web site.

5.      Board of Education Update

-         Janet Grey reported on the following issues:

                                   -  the new student information system has

                                       started well

                       -  Skatekon, Middle school classrooms,

                          pool, and transportation projects

have begun and are on schedule

          -   there will be a bond vote in Jan. as to

how to use $3million – no tax impact

                                  -   redistricting is in full swing – well will

have a finalized map in Jan.

                                  -  a new elementary principal will be hired

shortly, with the lottery for staff to follow

6.      District Partnership Team Report

-         Carolyn attended the first meeting, with meetings in Dec. Feb. Apr. and end of

year to follow.  Individuals shared what their teams are working on.

-         Dr. Robinson discussed how the district team can help with individual school

Teams, and formed a subcommittee to discuss and finalize changes to the District Partnership Team Plan document.

7.      Tesago’s Motto

-         Each 1st – 5th teacher will discuss the mission statement with students, who will

use that information to brainstorm ideas for a motto.  Each class will vote on  their best 2 mottos, and grade levels will then vote to produce one motto.  Staff will vote on the resulting 5 grade level mottos, narrowing it down to 3. We would like to have all students then vote to choose 1 motto, which will be a springboard for a student designed logo.  Dec. 1st is our target date for the completion of the motto, with the logo to be designed in Jan.

-         We will ask student council reps to run the votes in the classrooms they usually

report to.

-         If possible we will time the final vote shortly before a BEST assembly so it can

-         be announced to all students.
