Tesago's Instructional Support Services (ISS) Team includes the academic support teachers, the speech therapists, the school psychologist, the school counselor, and the principal. The focus of the team is on early intervention and a preventive approach, so that any student who needs help can receive it before they experience failure.

The goal of early intervention is to provide services so that a student's academic difficulties are addressed and a remedial special education designation is not needed. The team model allows for a coordinated, de-compartmentalized, flexible approach towards planning and delivering programs to children. One academic support teacher may provide services to assist a student across several subject areas.

When a student works with more than one ISS member (e.g., an academic support teacher and a speech therapist), communication amongst team members and with classroom teachers ensures a concerted effort and meets our goal of seeing every child find success in Tesago.
